The Association of Courthouse Recreation, (ACHR), provides an opportunity for the youth of Virginia Beach to play in a positive, instructive and supportive environment, with an emphasis in sportsmanship and goodwill among the teams and individuals participating.

Volleyball
Our Spring Volleyball season begins March 25, 2024 and runs to the end of school in June.
Online registration for Players and Coaches is now open. Cost for Fall 2023 is $85.00 per player and a $20 late fee will be charged beginning March 15, 2024.
Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches are always needed and welcomed at Courthouse. Training is provided, no prior experience is needed. Your child will automatically be placed with you. You get to select your practice night, team name & color.
ACHR provides teams and leagues for players 6-18. September 30, 2023 is the "As of" date to determine a players age. We do allow some exceptions for younger players or for players whose skill level allows them to "Play Up". These exceptions are granted by the board on a player by player basis. No one is allowed to Play down. Requests are honored only at the 6-9 age level if signed up before draft day. Players have a right to return to the previous team is signed up before draft day. After draft day, it will be on space availability. We fill up fast!
Age groups are:
- Co-Ed Farm ages 6-9,
- Co-Ed 12U Preteen ages 10-12,
- Co-Ed 14U Juniors ages 13-14
- Girls Seniors age 15-18
Teams are formed in a Blind Draft scheduled for mid March. Coaches will contact players the week after the draft.
Practices are once per week beginning March 25th and Games are scheduled to begin in April after Spring Break. Our Spring Volleyball season will typically end with the end of the school year in June.
We plan to begin registration for Fall Volleyball Season May 1, 2024.
